previous price £595,000

Description
The Deddington Antiques Centre has been owned by the current owners for the past twenty years and planning permission has been granted to convert the shop back to a residential dwelling.
The house retains many of its original features including fireplaces, doors and flagstone floors in the cellar. At present the the house offers many possibilities as to how the living accommodation could be arranged to include a kitchen and bathroom.
There are two entrances with the side entrance leading you into a reception hall. On the ground floor there is a cloakroom, three reception rooms and access to a pretty enclosed courtyard garden.
The cellar has stone steps leading down to a spacious room which would make an ideal kitchen, subject to the usual planning consents.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms, two of which are doubles and the single could be converted to a bathroom. On the second floor there are two further bedrooms, which could be converted into a large master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
Across the courtyard there is access to a self contained studio/annex with its own access to the street which would offer many opportunities. This is offered by separate negotiation.

Situation

The Antiques Centre, also known as Laurel House, is in the Conservation Area located in the heart of the village of Deddington. This very popular Oxfordshire village is characterised by an active market place which hosts a local farmer's market once a month. The origins of Deddington date back to the 6th or 7th century ad and the beautiful St Peter and Paul's church dating to the early 13th century. There are many popular shops including a delicatessen, pubs, a post office, library, pharmacy and a hotel.
There are a selection of schools including Deddington Church of England Primary School and the Warriner Secondary School. Independent Schools include Bloxham, Tudor Hall and Winchester House and numerous others to be found in North Oxford.
There are excellent communication links for both London and Birmingham with the nearby junctions 10 and 11 of the M40 being only 7/8 miles away. There are train stations at Bicester North and Banbury with good services to London Marylebone and Birmingham.

Outside

There is a pretty rear paved courtyard between the main house and the studio.
