Additional Information

Historical records enable individual occupants of Lady Bray Farm and House (originally known as Poplars Farm) to be traced, with certainty back to 1753. Prior to this date the records are incomplete. Recent history shows that the farm and buildings were purchased in the 1930s by Greens Brewery of Luton.

During the 1940s considerable stabling was built to house the shire horses that were used by the brewery. A barn and workshops were also added to maintain the brewery drays. Greens Brewery were taken over by Whitbreads who subsequently sold the farm by auction to H C Beale Esq in 1961. The present owners purchased the property in 1996 and have completely modernised and redeveloped the property, the barns to the rear have now been converted into another dwelling which is now occupied.
