Great Hormead is a small East Hertfordshire village with inn and primary school set amongst Hertfordshire countryside. The area is convenient with commuters as there is access to the A10, M11 motorway and mainline stations at Ware and Bishops Stortford, providing commuter services to London Liverpool Street. The nearest shopping centre is at Buntingford (approx 3 miles) with further amenities at the larger centres of Bishops Stortford to the east, and Ware to the south.
