Sellers Insight

Rusholme is a spacious, detached house on the outskirts of the Fenland market town of March: And for the present owners Theresa and Jason, it has been the perfect home. They loved the sense of a warm and inviting atmosphere, as they entered the house. Also, the house had the potential to extend to accommodate the needs of their growing family. It has been a happy and much-loved home for the past seventeen years.

The house has a good choice of reception rooms that flow easily through the ground floor. The well-equipped kitchen blends into the family room where the wall to ceiling glass floods the room with natural light, creating a very positive vibe. There is ample room for parties and large family gatherings, and Jason recalls many celebrations. Friends still talk about the garden party where sixty friends came, and all brought tents and stayed the night. Rusholme is at its best when full of people.

Fenland is famous for its big skies, and backing onto fields provides views to incredibly dramatic stormy skies, beautiful fiery sunsets; and sunlight playing over fields of golden corn. Theresa takes pleasure in the early evening sun as it streams through the windows, creating sharp contrasts of shadows and light down the stairs and across the hallway. The early morning sun lights up the breakfast room for a start of the day feel good experience.

The two-bedroom annexe is self-contained with its own access, kitchen and bathroom. It has been perfect for Theresa’s parents, and allowed the children quality time with their grandparents plus the benefit of built in babysitters.

The garden is a private, calm and green oasis where they can relax and enjoy the tapping of the resident woodpecker in the willow tree.

Rusholme enjoys an excellent location only approximately a mile from the town centre. The River Nene winds its way through the town centre, where there is a good choice of shopping, restaurants and a twice weekly market. There is an excellent rail service to Peterborough and Cambridge, and you can commute into London Kings Cross in under two hours and catch a train straight to Stansted Airport.

Theresa and Jason have loved living at Rusholme but the time has come to downsize. They take away many very happy memories.
