House For Sale £575,000
Toghill Barn Farm, London Road, Wick BS30

Description
Charming detached cottage conversion dating back over 150 years, set in 0.38 acre gardens. The 3 double bedroom accommodation is nicely presented, having been extended and refurbished in 2014.

In a former life, Ale Porch Cottage was known to have been a popular coaching inn allowing the horses to refresh on their journey from Bristol to London. Nowadays we find an interesting country cottage conversion, nestled amongst a small hamlet of one-off barns. Character features such as a spacious kitchen dining room big enough for the whole family, lounge with log burner and snug lend a pleasant feel to the property, whilst upstairs we have 3 double bedrooms and a family bathroom. Lovely country views can be enjoyed over fields to the South beyond the neighbouring property. In 2015 a schedule of extension and modernisation was carried out including roof off, full rewire and replumb, installation of private drainage plant, windows, decoration and incidental rendering/pointing etc. Bags of further potential is offered by the land for the new owner to make it their own and there is plenty of off road parking, and a useful stone built outbuilding store.

On the outskirts of Cold Ashton, the village facilities of Wick and Pennsylvania are a short drive away, with excellent transport links provided by the A46 and A420 in either direction. Miles of country walks can be enjoyed without going near the roads, for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. The nearby village of Wick features a primary school, deli/sandwich shop, local store, take away restaurant, pub, medical practise, and a small selection of other shops, businesses and amenities. Longwell Green retail park sports a number of large stores, supermarkets and B&Q, plus a cinema, leisure centre and tenpin bowling, and a number of restaurants, and is about a 15 minute drive from the property.
