What the Owner says:
With spectacular views to the rear of the property, and such a close proximity to the sea, it was impossible not to fall in love with this property. Having purchased the property from new in 2004, i've spent many memorable times in Ryde, and i'll be sad to leave. It's only moving closer to family that has ensured the need to sell. Having had a former career in the merchant navy, the sea is in my blood, and that's what instantly attracted me to both Ryde and the local area.
The Isle of Wight and Ryde in particular is a place for those that like to explore. With the beach a two-minute walk away, and Ryde town centre a ten-minute stroll down the road, Ryde is a special place. The town of Ryde has another added benefit – although officially a town, the place still has the community feel of a village. With its independent shops, restaurants and bars, for those that shop, Ryde caters for a wealth of activities. Unlike some other areas on the island, the town is a hive of activity all year round.
For exploring the island, taking advantage of the glorious open space is a must. With the complexities of the sea regularly changing, a walk or a bike ride to Seaview becomes a novel experience every day. Ryde is also located close to the hovercraft and ferry for easy access to the mainland.
And for an undiscovered gem – don't tell too many people mind you! – a visit to Newtown Estuary on the island is a real joy. A journey along the Estuary and you'll be able to experience
