Description
A characterful and spacious one bedroom apartment on the second floor of a striking brick-fronted period conversion nestled in the leafy environs of Wanstead Village. With its superb transport links, open green spaces and excellent independent wining and dining establishments, this is quite a find.

Wanstead and Snaresbrook tube stations are each half a mile on foot and will both whisk you directly to Liverpool Street in sixteen minutes or Tottenham Court Road in twenty five courtesy of the Central line. If you're in need of retail therapy then Stratford's just three stops (or seven minutes) away too, for the gargantuan shopping mecca that is Westfield Stratford City.

If you lived here…

You'll be welcoming friends and family into your huge 180 square foot lounge/diner with elegant ceiling moulding overhead, divine dove grey walls, plenty of space for dining, a vintage ebony fireplace serving as a fine centrepiece and sleekly engineered timber flooring underfoot. It all leads seamlessly through to an artfully segmented kitchen blessed with on trend open shelving, a gleaming white metro tile backsplash and a curved window of the period adding that modicum of classic to the contemporary.

Head back through the hallway for your bathroom – it's a dazzling white space decked out in white tiling and complete with tub, shower and traditional white suite. Lastly, your bedroom's a generous 135 square foot double with a wealth of fitted storage, more of those calming grey walls and glorious leafy views; it's a wonderfully uncluttered space positively perfect for drifting off into delectable dreams.

Outside, Wanstead High Street is a mere seven minute walk. Here you'll find an increasingly impressive array of independent cafes and gourmet pubs, not to mention artisanal butchers, fishmongers, bakeries and even more esoteric delights like Robin's Pie & Mash, while The Cuckfield and The Manor House are sumptuous foodie pubs the equal of anything you'll find in the city. Bombetta Italian restaurant is right by Snaresbrook station and serves up hearty portions of authentic Puglian cuisine – try the spicy sausage bombetta with courgette fries; this enviable eaterie is sure to become a favourite.

A word from the owner...

"I have absolutely loved my time in Wanstead. In my opinion it's the best place to live in London - quiet and leafy but plenty going on, and really easy to commute from. There's beautiful walks nearby in Wanstead flats and Epping forest which have been fantastic in the face of the pandemic. One of my favourite things is to head out for breakfast at Gail's bakery on a Saturday morning, or Sunday lunch at the Duke."
