Words from the owner

What do you love most about your home?

We love how quiet it is even though we live in an exciting area. The open plan space at the back and the garden are a sort of oasis away from all the hustle and bustle. We've had some great parties in the summer when we open the doors at the back and have loads of friends round. James: I love the home office at the back. During the pandemic it's been a life saver to be honest. It's great to have a separate space to work from home. Carla: I love the main bedroom and the courtyard. It's so nice when the sunlight wakes you up on a sunny day.

Why are you moving?
We have baby number 2 due in 3 weeks and so we need a bit more space and an extra bedroom. We were always planning to leave London and move out to Buckinghamshire where Carla's parents live at some point but we will really miss London and St John's Hill.

What do you love about the area?
St John's Hill and the especially the few houses on either side have a real community atmosphere. We have a street Whatsapp group and people really look out for each other. We got lucky with that because I think it's quite rare in London and we didn't expect it when we moved in. Between the Northcote Road and St John's Hill you have an awesome collection of bars and restaurants - Hatched next door to the flat is probably our favourite. Story coffee at the Clapham Junction end of St John's Hill is a well known coffee shop and their coffee is insane - I think we go every day!
