The front door opens to the Morning Room with high ceilings, York flagstone flooring and two large stone fireplaces. The principal reception rooms include the beautiful Drawing Room with five sash windows, doors leading from the Morning Room, West Hall and Library. The library is partly oak panelled with built-in bookcases and French doors to the terrace to the west. The magnificent cantilevered staircase sweeps gently up from the West Hall to a gallery landing on the first floor. In all, there are 12 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms over the two upper floors, with an additional kitchen and sitting room on the top floor.
Victorian wing

The Queen Anne part of the house flows through to the Victorian wing. Originally constructed in 1860, this part of the house has its own staircase hall and comprises further reception rooms, kitchen and 5 bedrooms. The northern end of the Victorian wing has a wonderful party room, bar, gym, cloakroom and separate entrance which makes it ideal for special events.
Both the main house and the Victorian wing are to be let furnished as seen in the photographs. By negotiation, some rooms may be unfurnished if requested.
Gardens and grounds

The formal gardens surround the property on two sides and are approximately 15 acres of wonderful parkland that slope gently down to a small valley. Within the valley are two ornamental brook-fed lakes and beyond them is a grove of mature woodland extensively planted with Oaks, Sycamores, Limes, Yew and Box. To the west of the principal garden is a tennis court. In addition there is also the traditional Queen Anne and Georgian walled gardens, medieval dovecote, parkland and woodland, orchard, paddock and stream in the bottom of the valley. In total there is approximately 37 acres which are all fully maintained by the landlord.

The Cottages - Three 2 bedroom cottages lie to the north of the house with their own entrance and are fully separate and self-contained. The cottages benefit from a stone and red brick walled garden and enjoy wonderful views over the grounds. At present, it is proposed that one cottage will be retained by the landlord for the House Keeper to reside in and to maintain the property and grounds.
