Directions From the A12, join the A1152 Woods Lane. At the bottom of the hill, continue straight over the traffic lights, cross Wilford Bridge and at the roundabout, take the third exit signed Sutton Hoo, Bawdsey and Alderton. Continue straight through Sutton village to Shottisham. At the junction in Shottisham, turn right towards Alderton. Drive through Alderton and continue into Bawdsey. Drive through the village and on the left hand side at Bawdsey Manor Estate, you will see a tall radio mast (transmitter block Bawdsey Suffolk – former RAF base). Look out for the gatehouse and turn left into the drive. You will see a sign for Bawdsey Manor Estate and also a No Entry sign saying Private Property, No Public Access, Residents Deliveries Only.
