Description
An attractive end of terrace cottage with a striking façade situated in the heart of the sought after village of Twyford. Dating back to 1911, the property has been beautifully and extensively refurbished throughout, including a superb two storey rear/side extension, new kitchen, bathrooms, windows, electrics, carpets and flooring, and decorated throughout in a pleasing modern palette. There is wet-system underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and in the bathrooms on the first floor. There is a lovely outlook to the front, over the playing fields and countryside beyond.

The entrance hall leads to an excellent double length sitting room with solid wood flooring and beautiful log-burning stove, which is connected to the heating system, and double doors lead out to the garden. A door leads from this room through to a wonderful open plan kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is well appointed and bright with fitted units providing ample cupboard space, and double doors onto the garden. There is plenty of space for a table and chairs, and access to a downstairs shower room and study.

On the first floor there are three great bedrooms and two bathrooms; the master bedroom is an excellent size and shares the family bathroom with bedroom three, while bedroom two has an en suite shower room. The loft has been converted by previous owners to provide a fourth bedroom on the second floor.

Outside to the front of the property is a small garden and off road parking for two cars. There is side access to the rear garden which is mainly laid to lawn with a paved patio area, shrub borders and a brick-built store.

Location:
School Road is situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Twyford, within a short walk of the village shop, post office, two fantastic pubs, a small coffee shop, doctors surgery, dentist and with easy access to Shawford railway station. Winchester itself has a mainline railway station (links to London Waterloo in approximately 55 minutes), high street shops, boutiques, library, coffee shops, public houses, restaurants, theatre, cinema, museums and, of course, the city's historic cathedral. The M3 motorway is easily accessible from this location, and there are good local schools nearby.
