Dual electricity rate: There is a very economical electricity supply with two electricity rates. The cheaper electricity operates several times a day, it benefits from a cheaper rate than economy 7 whilst it is more environmentally friendly than gas. The storage radiators and the hot water tank are connected to this circuit.
New pressurised 'Megaflow' hot water tank has been installed. This tank has very high insulation. It is connected to the cheaper electric circuit, so this means it is very economical to run.
It has the availability of a Nuaire positive pressure device which has very little electricity consumption and this maintains a very small stream of fresh air to the flat. The device has a hippa filter, so it helps to eliminate pollen and other air components that contribute to allergies, etc, so provides much cleaner air to the flat. The device can be switched off or programmed to be working for day hours only. As a bonus, it avoids condensation, which is very common in ground-floor flats.
