Description
A stunning locally listed Arts & Crafts period home, designed by the renowned local architect E.J May. The house has been extended and updated over the years to create an impressive family home, just under 5,700 square feet, that blends its original charm and character with all the comforts of modern day living.

The recent ground floor contemporary addition extends across the whole back of the house which changes the flow of the property, and provides modern day living spaces with views over the rear garden. The garden is a lovely size as well as being flat and measures approximately 170' X 70'. Being walled adds to the feeling of privacy and tranquillity with the overall plot being 0.45 of an acre.

The accommodation is over three floors. On the ground floor, the impressive square entrance hall with original parquet flooring, fireplace and window seat gives you that wonderful sense of home. There is a large kitchen/breakfast room with painted shaker kitchen units, granite worktops, professional range and adjoining utility room. The two original receptions rooms are well proportioned and lead into the new garden room and a family room overlooks the front garden. The ground floor addition which provides the amazing garden room, has been beautifully designed to contrast and complement the Edwardian design and successfully blends new and old. The large sliding glass doors gives you that feeling of being more connected to the garden. The extension also provides a games room with bar which overlooks the extensive decking and patio area. The majority of the ground floor has 'wet' under floor central heating.

On the first floor there are five bedrooms, four of which have ensuites that have been cleverly created plus a family bathroom. The top floor is a master bedroom suite with dressing area and spacious ensuite. Three of bedrooms have air conditioning and the master suite also has wet under floor central heating with the ensuites having electric matting under floor heating.

There is plenty of private parking to the front accessed via remote gates and an integral garage. The front garden is well screened by mature hedging providing privacy.
