2 bed Flat For Sale £625,000
Fenwick Road, Peckham Rye SE15

Description
Character-laden two bed top floor Victorian split-level conversion flat of 660 square feet, with share of the building’s Freehold and a delightfiul shared west-facing garden.

Find it on a tree-lined residential street bordering East Dulwich - near Goose Green, Peckham Rye Park and Common, and Bellenden Road. Walk just 10 minutes to Peckham Rye Station and 14 to East Dulwich Station. Both are Fare Zone 2.

The grand townhouse-style building charms at first glance, fronted by a box hedge, with bay windows to the lower floors. Welcome features within the flat include sash windows, stripped and painted floors, period fireplaces and high ceilings.

Take a few stairs to the main front door then it’s in your own front door directly ahead, where you head up the stairs. The kitchen’s the first room you reach - with pale Shaker style units, solid oak counters (plus open shelving), a slate tiled floor, and a back door to stairs onto the generous and part-walled garden. This sunny space is shared with the two co-Freeholders (there are two other flats in the building).

Back in the flat and up a few more stairs to the landing proper, it’s a left turn into the big and bright reception room (thank you west-facing sash). It’s over 12 feet by over 10, with a pretty period fireplace.

To the front of the building you have two double bedrooms; each enjoying morning light via their respective east-facing sash windows. The larger of the bedrooms is accessed off the reception room and has a lovely fireplace with green tiled hearth. Up a few more stairs for the property’s bathroom. It’s a larger than average bathroom for a flat, with a free standing bath and independent shower, plus another west-facing window.

Peckham continues to be a popular place to call home. The restaurant, bar, shop and cafe offering is particularly strong, more often than not independently run, and welcomes crowds of all ages. We particularly rate Artusi, Anderson’s, Review, Ganapati, Levan, The Begging Bowl, Tonkotsu, Mr Bao, Miss Tapas, Peckham Bazaar, Peckham Levels, and The Bussey Building and Copeland Park complex.

Lordship Lane in the other direction has great spots and shopping, too. We like Franklin’s, Terroirs, smbs, Mons and Chener Books. Useful handy high street shops and banks are found on both Peckham’s Rye Lane and East Dulwich’s Lordship Lane, and on Saturdays, North Cross Road hosts a delightful market.

Most locally on East Dulwich Road (walk two minutes), you have a handy Tesco store and a classy parade of shops including a Hop Burns & Black, ice cream parlour, cool bike shop and a chippy. The Brougham is a classy new cafe/bar here too, next to gorgeous Goose Green East Dulwich leisure centre is on this stretch too.
