What do you love most about your home?
The cosy, relaxed atmosphere and the space. The high ceilings and fireplaces in every room. We love our spacious eat-in kitchen with its wood burning stove. The cellar offers plenty of storage space. We love our garden - it has plenty of mature plants and fruit trees. It is great to be so close to the station and as our garden backs on to the platform it means that it is very private and not overlooked from the rear. Our street is quiet and does not get a lot of through traffic.
Why are you moving?
We are moving to Scotland.
What do you love about the area?
Charlton has great transport links to central London via Blackheath and Greenwich. The Jubilee Line is a short bus journey away. It's fairly close to the A2 which takes you out of London, either north or south, quite quickly. We have great local shops, but more importantly, we have fantastic green space with Charlton Park, Marion Wilson and Marion Parks on our doorstep. The latter also has tennis courts where you can play for free. Greenwich Park is a 4-minute train ride away. The Village Greengrocer up in Charlton Village sells fantastic produce and locally baked bread. We also have a Sainsburyˋs Local, a post office and various hairdressers.
