Description
A simply sumptuous four-bedroom semi-detached in the heart of leafy Wanstead. With nearly 1640 square foot of living space sitting behind a handsome red brick frontage, it’s dotted with eye-catching original features, with most rooms featuring a period fireplace. A grand home ready for a new family.

You’ll be surrounded by peaceful green spaces on all sides, with Wanstead Flats and Park close by. The house is in the Aldersbrook conservation area, a beautifully preserved Edwardian suburb. The amenities of Leytonstone as well as Wanstead are within easy reach.

If you lived here…

You’ll enter into your large hallway and find your 180 square foot reception on the left. Filled with light from the three large windows in the bay, it has pale pine-toned engineered flooring underfoot, elegant cornicing and a striking fireplace. Next along is your 160 square foot dining room. There’s another fine fireplace finished in cast iron and marble, plus built-in cupboards, and plenty of space to entertain or relax. Double doors open onto your second reception, another 160 square foot of space bathed in light from twin skylights. There’s a handy downstairs WC here too.

To the right you’ll find the door to your kitchen, almost 100 square foot with marbled worktops, a sleek electric hob, and hardwearing tiling underfoot. There’s built-in storage including an integrated dresser and cupboards, and it’s all set off by grey-green metro splashbacks. Back through the second reception you’ll discover your glorious west-facing garden, with stepping stones across the lawn leading to a shady pergola, and framed on all sides by a beautiful abundance of greenery.

Through the hallway once more you’ll find the softly carpeted stairs to the first floor. There’s three bedrooms here and a shower room. Your first bedroom on the left is 180 square foot, with floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobes and lots of light from the bay window. Another lovely fireplace creates a warm focal point, and a vintage picture rail runs all the way around the walls. The pine-shaded engineered flooring continues underfoot.

Your second bedroom is almost 150 square foot, with large built-in alcove shelves, and your third is 105 square foot and carpeted in cream. Your shower room features a spacious dedicated shower and modern white suite with baby blue walls. Up the second set of stairs you’ll find your fabulous master suite, with 270 square foot of bedroom and study space plus a fifty square foot en suite. The bathroom is elegantly tiled, with modern white suite and shower over the large tub.

You’re just over a mile from Wanstead underground for the Central Line, to Stratford in ten minutes and Liverpool Street in twenty-five. The enormous expanse of Wanstead Flats is just moments from your doorstep whenever you feel the need to immerse yourself in nature. If you’re driving further afield, you can be on the North Circular in a matter of minutes.

A word from the owner....

"It has been a safe, secure and beautiful family home for 40 years, where I have brought up children and grandchildren. Park Road is a beautiful cherry tree-lined street which blossoms in the spring. All three generations have made good use of the library at the end of the road and enjoyed living within a few minutes walk of Wanstead flats and the forest. We have known many of our neighbours for decades and have very fond memories of get togethers at each other's homes. They have always been there to help and everyone looks out for each other. It's been a lovely place to live."
