It is located on the A217 road, between Banstead and Tadworth. A neighbouring village is Nork. The dual carriageway has meant that today there are two separate areas of housing: The larger off Canons Lane to the east of the A217, and behind the parade of shops; and the other to the west, close to the ponds and known as The Green.
