Outside, a picket gate opens onto a footbridge which takes you over the River Piddle, into the wonderful open gardens. A gravelled path, bordered with colourful plants, leads through the first large area of garden.

A box hedge with another little picket gate separates the second area of garden which has a summer house. A gravelled path to the side of the cottage takes you to the rear garden, which has open views over the fields beyond.
