House For Sale £600,000
Gordon Road, London E18

Description
A wonderfully bright and beautiful three bedroom, fully detached family home, nestled amongst the plentiful greenery, peaceful streets and friendly neighbourhood of Woodford, with excellent schools and transport links all close at hand. Design & Decor is airy, stylish and characterful throughout.

With the loft space so far untouched, you have the potential to develop this unique find still further, possibly even adding your own whole new storey as some of your neighbours have done (subject to the usual permissions).

If you lived here…

You'll be enjoying all the benefits of your peaceful detached status, set back nicely from the road and with a lush, incredibly lengthy and secluded rear garden to explore. Well over 100 feet in length, flanked by thriving greenery and home to a number of mature trees as well as a pond, it's an enviable urban solace. Inside, your front lounge is a generous 170 square feet, with pristinely restored original timber floorboards underfoot and an immaculate vintage hearth in the chimney breast.

To the rear, your kitchen/diner is breathtakingly bright with whitewashed original floorboards underfoot and swathes of natural light flooding in from the French doors, framing leafy garden views. At around 200 square feet there's plenty of space for culinary exploits and dinner parties alike. Upstairs and your master bedroom's an expansive, 170 square foot double with another bright bay window and more vintage flooring. Bedrooms two and three are a solid double and a generous single respectively, while your bathroom sits pristine in white tiling from floor to ceiling.

Outside, and South Woodford station and the local social hub of George Lane are both less than a half mile on foot. South Woodford will get you directly to Liverpool Street in eighteen minutes via the Central line. Heading to the West End? Tottenham Court Road is just nine minutes further. Closer to home, Roding Valley Park, skirted by the blue waters of the River Roding, is just a five minute walk anytime you fancy a morning jog or riverside stroll.

What else?

- George Lane itself is just the other side of the station, and home to a fine array of amenities for all your day to day needs, from supermarkets to shops and cafes.
- You have plenty of quality schools nearby, with six primary/secondaries deemed 'Outstanding' by Ofsted less than a mile from your new home. A further four are rated 'Good'.
- For film buffs there's the long standing classic art deco Odeon cinema, just at the top of George Lane.

A word from the owner....

"i've loved living here, so much so that i've stayed for over 30 years! The house has great character & a lovely garden, which has been brilliant for relaxing in, especially over the last year.

This part of South Woodford is a perfect location, with a villagey-feel & lovely neighbours, but less than 10 minutes walk to the Central Line station & about the same distance from Waitrose.

Just a couple of minutes further along Gordon Road is the Green Flag Award Winner, Elmhurst Gardens, with a kids playground, tennis courts & a bowling club with its own pavilion - something for everyone!

I will miss living here, but hope you will enjoy it as much as I have."
