Heath Road, Appledore, Kent TN26

Description
A delightful period home providing versatile accommodation set in a tucked away position amid secluded gardens within a short distance of village amenities

The Mill House is a charming unlisted period property with masses of character set amid beautiful established gardens in a highly desirable tucked away setting.

The property displays traditional brick and weatherboard exterior elevations with a catslide roof and gables at the rear. Formerly two cottages, the property offers potential to be re-modelled for dual occupancy, subject to planning. It offers versatile and characterful accommodation with masses of charm throughout, but be aware there are restrictive head heights on the first floor.

Internally, a wealth of period features is on display including beams and timbers, inglenook fireplaces, latch and paneled doors, exposed brickwork and vaulted ceilings which all add to the appeal of this charming property.

The accommodation is arranged on three floors with two staircases rising to the first floor. The drawing room is particularly inviting having an inglenook fireplace with feature window to one side from which the original miller would have been able to view the workings of the windmill. There is also a spacious dining room with magnificent inglenook fireplace in addition to the breakfast room which is set adjacent to the kitchen and a separate garden room. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, two of which have fitted wardrobes and en suite facilities plus an adaptable study/bedroom 5.

The landscaped gardens are a real feature of the property, filled with masses of flowering shrubs and with sweeping lawns bordered by established trees and hedging. The lawns provide excellent space for family recreation and there is a natural well and a walled garden area at the rear, creating a lovely spot to sit back and enjoy the surroundings. The property benefits from two double garages and there is generous parking at the front of the house on the graveled carriage sweep.

The gardens amount to about 0.75 acres in all and provide a secluded and private setting for this delightful home.
