A word from the owner...……..

After brunch on the decking we're sitting in the garden thinking about what to write in this account. The sun is shining, the cherry blossom is out and the hornbeam trees are budding. This moment embodies the beauty of living in this quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of Highams Park. You are surrounded by all the amenities that you need, but somehow it feels much more rural and peaceful.
Bringing up a family and commuting in to central London regularly, the proximity to Highams Park station and the bus to the central line has been essential, but it was the choice of multiple good schools and nurseries that drew us to the area.
Within walking distance we discovered Highams Park lake where a wooden bridge over the stream gets you to the swings and a pit stop for a coffee at Humphrey's café. Cross over the road in the other direction and we're blackberry picking or riding our bikes in the historic Epping Forest.
Within an easy walk we have a post office, pharmacy, bakery and convenience shops. A couple of minutes further on and you get to the doctor's surgery, gym and swimming pool. In recent years we've enjoyed new restaurants and cafes opening in the area too.
The things we appreciate most about living in this house is that it feels full of light, it's quiet and there is a strong and supportive community spirit within the close. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
