Having once been the village school, the building dating back to 1836, has plenty of stories to tell, you wont just be buying a home, you will be becoming part of the village history. The property has recently undergone extensive renovation to become the fabulous, four bedroom family home it is today with all materials and methods used being both sympathetic to the style of the building yet of high quality throughout. The front door opens into the centre of the property with stairs rising up to the first floor with large storage cupboard below and doors opening into the dining room to the right and lounge to the left. Engineered oak flooring lines the reception room floors whilst the tasteful decor used throughout creates a warm and welcoming feel to every room. The three reception rooms on the ground floor comprise the lounge, dining room and a separate family room. Both the lounge and dining room are traditional rooms with windows to both the front and rear allowing the natural light to spill in throughout the day whilst the lounge benefits from a fantastic log burning stove being set into a large brick built fireplace with solid oak beam above. The family room beyond the lounge has a much more modern feel whilst maintaining the elegant disposition of the rest of the house. There is a stable door to the front aspect as well as window to both the front and side whilst a stain glass window has been fitted to the rear telling the story of the building. There has been state of the art lighting fitted in the family room along with the engineered wooden flooring as used throughout the ground floor of the property. At the opposite side of the house is the kitchen with separate laundry room and ground floor shower room. The kitchen is fitted with a shaker style kitchen having an Rangemaster recessed into a tiled surround, granite work tops finished to perfection with recesses to the window ledge and matching upstands and a central island to match with breakfast bar over hang. Appliances are integrated into the units whilst the sink is sunken into the work top with Rangemaster hot water tap above. A door opens into a fantastic pantry whilst a second door leads into the ground floor shower room fitted with a walk in shower enclosure, wash hand basin and WC.
