Kirkcudbright is a picturesque harbour town situated on the River Dee, surrounded by glorious coastline with holiday centres at Brighouse Bay, Borgue, Sandgreen and Auchenlarie with spectacular sunsets and views of the Murray Isles. Historic Kirkcudbright hosts annual arts festivals, summer activities programme, its own Tattoo with Ceilidh, jazz and traditional music events and the Kirkcudbrightshire County Show. Edinburgh and Glasgow airports can be reached in around two hours.
