The Watch House dating from the late 18th Century was built to house the local excise men to combat the smugglers. It was taken over in the 1820’s by the Coastguard Service and has been a private house since 1925. The current owners whilst using the property frequently themselves have marketed the property successfully through Cornish Hideaways achieving occupancy rates of over 40 weeks. Recent investments include a new roof & chimney (2 years ago) and interior and exterior redecoration.
The front door - a newly refurbished traditional barn door - opens into the dual aspect kitchen with wooden fitted units and a terracotta tiled floor.
