House For Sale £150,000
Station Street, Castle Gresley, Swadlincote DE11

Description
The property

This sensational mid terraced period home has been completely refurbished by the current owner to create a stylish property that will be loved by first time buyers or those looking to downsize. Parking is on-street and there is a short yard behind a brick wall, between the house and the pavement that is ideal for storing bins.

Viewers will make their way through the main front door into an outstanding double reception room that sets the tone for the rest of the viewing. The high-quality wood effect laminate flooring and stunning log burner fireplace are the key features in this long room that narrows as the lounge moves into the dining area. The dining area features includes the staircase to the first floor with a handy storage cupboard underneath. Apart from the lean-to rear porch from the kitchen, all windows in this home are double glazed.

From the dining area, viewers step down into a remarkable kitchen suite. The suite is fitted to the right and far walls and features hi-gloss unit facias and laminated work surfaces. Integrated appliances include a five-burner gas hob with overhead extractor, chest height electric oven, built-in microwave, fridge freezer and a dishwasher. The ceramic sink with drainer is fitted at the far wall and there is a breakfast bar affixed to the left wall under the window.

Moving upstairs, the configuration of the first floor has been cleverly changed to include a large double bedroom at the front, a single bedroom in the middle and a corridor leading through to a unique laundry room and a trendy family bathroom suite. The carpeted master bedroom stretches the full width of the house and features a large set of fitted wardrobes to the left of the room. The single bedroom, also carpeted, has a window overlooking the garden and fields to the rear and features a modern vertical radiator.

The laundry room is a fabulous inclusion and features a wooden work surface with plumbing and spaces underneath for a washing machine and tumble dryer. From the laundry room there is a door through to the family bathroom with an uber-cool suite that features a bath with shower and screen fitted over, wide rectangular wash basin and cabinet, toilet and a heated towel rail. All this is perfectly complemented by large tiles to the floor and walls with decorative tiling to the shower splashback area.

Finishing outside, the rear garden is an excellent project for the new owner as it not only features a long open space but also includes a long row of eight brick-built outbuildings, one of which including a disused toilet. This provides for excellent development potential should the new owner require storage or even a home workplace / studio. To the far end of the garden is an opening that currently leads out to the local playing fields with children’s park.
