This house has been our first family home and we have absolutely loved living here. We knew it had so much potential when we bought the house and we’ve enjoyed adding to it and changing it during our time here – we love living in a traditional Victorian house with original features but in a modern open plan format. The spaces in the house are great for work, relaxation and entertainment – we have spent lots of long afternoons and evenings with a barbecue going in the garden while the doors are open and we use the full length of the house.
We didn’t know the area when we moved in but have found it to have everything we could have wanted – the Village has lots of places to eat, drink and shop as well as being great to stroll around, while the green spaces of Hollow Ponds and Lloyd Park are close by. The transport links into Central London are excellent as are the quick routes out to other parts of the country by road.
The community spirit in Barclay Road is very strong and has come to the fore over the last year or so throughout the lockdowns.
