Thorpeness is only two miles from the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh. Saxmundham, which is about 7 miles away, has a station which connects to Ipswich and the direct line to London Liverpool Street Station.

Directions
From the A12, if travelling northbound on the A12, proceed past Stratford St Andrew and then take the exit for the A1094, signposted Aldeburgh, Leiston. Proceed along the A1094 for approximately 2 ½ miles, and then turn left onto the B1069, signposted Leiston, Knodishall, Thorpeness (B1353). Drive through the small village of Knodishall, and then turn right onto the B1353 (Aldringham Lane). Proceed through Aldringham, and then at the staggered crossroads proceed straight ahead to continue on the B1353. Follow the B1053 into Thorpeness. At the junction (where The Dolphin will be visible straight ahead of you) proceed straight ahead and onto Old Homes Road. Continue to follow this road, and following a bend to the right, the building known as The Headlands will come into view, and 4B is located in the very middle of the building.
