There’s the Yardarm restaurant (the original shop next door is still our favourite place for a latte and chocolate brownie), Phlox Books creating a literary (and caffeine!) buzz, Edie Rose’s floristry heaven, and Pause Yoga studio offering an oasis of calm in a frantic world. And if you can’t be bothered to take that shortest of short stroll to Francis Road, then why not just head down to Perky Blenders at Project 660 on the High Road, grab an espresso to go and plonk yourself on a bench in Abbotts Park, and watch more energetic people run around the tennis courts. Seriously, we absolutely love this part of East London (and we haven’t even mentioned the great pubs yet), and we’re convinced you will too…
