The Headline Details

This very charming three-bedroom village property is beautifully presented and filled with late Victorian architectural features. Nestled in a short terrace, the house sits in a quiet and peaceful street and is filled with light, thanks in part to the open plan downstairs space. A pretty south-east facing courtyard garden offers a peaceful outdoor area in which to relax and is very easy to maintain.

A lovely, large coir mat greets you as you enter this property. The hallway is laid with oak flooring which leads to the stairs and the ground floor living space. This is a very successful open plan living and dining space, also linked to the kitchen and with shuttered sash windows to the front. It has a gas feature fireplace and shelving and storage in the alcoves either side. A wide archway leads to the dining area, again really light and airy and big enough for a large table and furniture, and with more alcove storage.

The kitchen flows from the dining area and is fitted with shaker-style units with wood effect worktops and stylish grey wall tiles. It includes a breakfast bar, a good number of cupboards and integrated appliances, as well as space for a free standing American-style fridge/freezer. The kitchen also features a door to the rear L-shaped courtyard with its vernacular brick tile paving. This south-east facing private space is perfect for relaxing and has space for seating and dining and is extremely low maintenance. There is a gate to access the back lane between neighbouring properties.

The upstairs landing in this property has the original banister, dado rail, and fitted carpets which also run into two of the bedrooms as well. The loft is accessed from here and is boarded and has lighting, so a very useful space, and there is also a linen cupboard. The smallest of the three bedrooms is to the rear of the property and is currently being used as a good-sized home office but would make a nice single room.

The bathroom is tiled in elegant green, and well-appointed with a shower over the bath.

The second bedroom is in the middle of the house, a double room with a pretty feature fireplace, alcoves for storage and a window to the rear. The largest of the bedrooms is at the front of the property. It has lovely, exposed floorboards, an original fireplace, shuttered sash windows and lots of space for wardrobes and bedroom furniture. This is a very peaceful and light room.
