The Headline Details

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom property top floor flat forms part of a large Victorian building, and is light and spacious with its large windows and high ceilings. It is set back from the road on a private, gravelled drive and a shared, enclosed, lawned garden provides tranquil outdoor space. Broadwater Down is an attractive tree-lined road in the St Marks area on the south side of Tunbridge Wells, popular for its easy access to both town and the nearby countryside.

This apartment is accessed through a charming communal front door which although serving three flats in the building, is generally only used by two as the garden flat has a separate entrance. As you enter the flat, the smaller of the two bedrooms is on the left and is a very good size double room. Currently used as the master bedroom, it has an original marble fireplace and a very large window overlooking the side aspect. The second bedroom is next door and is very large with a feature fireplace with marble surround and ample space for bedroom furniture as well as another large window, this time to the front of the property and with views of the garden below and across Broadwater Down. It has an en suite bathroom with bath and hand-held shower over.

Opposite is the spacious reception room with a gas feature fireplace and lots of room for a lounge seating area as well as a dining table and chairs. A lovely large, bright window overlooks the front with wonderful views, and there is a double door serving hatch to the kitchen.

The galley-style kitchen has everything you need with integrated appliances, good storage and space for a freestanding fridge freezer, and again it is flooded with light from a window to the side. Lovely green tiles add a nice zing of colour and there is a breakfast bar too, as well as the serving hatch to the living / dining room.

Back into the hallway, past a linen cupboard, is the bathroom with shower over bath.

The flat is in a fabulous location within walking distance of Tunbridge Wells town centre, the High Street and the Pantiles as well as primary and secondary schools and the mainline station.

What We Love About This Flat

It is a large flat, very lovely, and so well located, with town and forest within a few minutes’ walk. We love the period features, the light, bright spacious feel, the incredible high ceilings and lovely large windows. It is a well-looked after property, ready to move into, and we were so impressed with the size and proportions of the bedroom and living areas.

We love that there is private off-road parking and the enclosed, well-maintained garden is a delight and a real treat for a first floor flat to have outside space.

This well-appointed 2-bedroom property has everything you could need in a flat of this size in a desirable location. All in all, this apartment’s location, its large, light-filled rooms and its excellent condition demand a viewing and we think it would be easy for anyone to instantly imagine living here.
