Situation
Inchlonaig is situated in the heart of the popular and scenically attractive Isle of Arran costal village of Lamlash.

The property is situated on the front with the grass promenade separating the property from the foreshore and from where there are uninterrupted and quite scenically spectacular views out across Lamlash Bay to the Holy Isle which dominates the local coastline.

Lamlash is a pretty Island coastal village always popular with visitors and tourists. The village has a number of small hotels, friendly country pubs and cafes, a local church, post office, newsagent/hardware store, chemist, bakery, fast food takeaway, medical centre, small hospital, dentists, a mid sized Co-op as well as some craft/gift shops.

Lamlash is home to Arran High School and there is a primary school in the village.

Brodick is the capital of the island of Arran and is about 5 miles to the north. Brodick has two larger sized Co-op stores and a good range of other leisure and professional services. Brodick is the port from where there is a regular daily ferry service by Caledonian MacBrayne to Ardrossan where there is a main line railway station with trains to Glasgow and which are timed to connect with the ferry sailings.

Prestwick International airport is 16 miles to the south of Ardrossan with Glasgow International airport about 24 miles to the east of Ardrossan.

The island of Arran has a frequent bus service which runs around and across the island, Lochranza is at the north of the island where there is a further ferry terminal to Claonaig on Kintyre.

Arran
The island of Arran is some 20 miles long and about 10 miles wide, it offers some of the most spectacular and beautiful scenery in Scotland. There are secluded beaches, rugged granite mountain ridges and glens in the north all dominated by Goat Fell (2866ft), and undulating moorland hills, plains, and valleys in the south. A good road encircles the island for 56 miles and there are two other road which cross the island from east to west.

The island has always been popular with outdoor enthusiasts and activities include walking and hill/mountain climbing.

Fishing, burn, loch and sea angling is available to the public, for shore or beach casting fisher people, there are miles of coastline from where one can enjoy sport.

Golf, there are seven golf courses on the island, competitions run over most of the year at most of the courses.

Bowling & Tennis, bowling greens are open to visitors at Brodick, Lamlash and Whiting Bay, there are tennis courts in most villages.

Cycle Hire, many people visit the island to cycle around it, cycles can be hired in Brodick and Lochranza.

Kayaking and sailing are also available on Arran. There is a spots centre with fitness and conditioning gym, various courts for hire and a swimming pool open to the public at the Auchrannie Spa resort in Brodick.

Wildlife watching, Arran is a haven for those interested in wildlife, otters, seals, red squirrels red deer, golden eagles and hen harriers are frequently sighted.

It is also possible to stalk on the island and there are low ground pheasant shoots.

Directions
From Glasgow city centre proceed in a westerly direction on the M8 motorway, after about 9 miles bear left onto the A737 following signs Irvine. Continue on the A737 bypassing Beith and heading towards Dalry. Leave Dalry on the B780 following signs for West Kilbride. After about 2.7 miles turn left continuing on the B780 following signs for Ardrossan and the Ferry terminal.

On arrival in Brodick, from the ferry, turn left on the A841. Continue for 3.5 miles to reach Lamlash village. Continue along the main front street to find Inchlonaig on the right hand side."
