Description

Entering the house via the front door, you are immediately struck by the pleasing double-fronted nature of the layout. There are two fine reception rooms to the front of the house. To your right is a lovely, double aspect, bright and airy drawing room. There is marble style fire surround with gas fire inset, either side of which are hand-built units providing bookshelves with cupboards beneath.

On the left of the hall is a dining room which leads straight through to a beautiful bespoke handbuilt kitchen/breakfast room. There is a central island and plenty of units in an attractive grey finish with the central island being aubergine-coloured. These are all topped with polished concrete worktops. There is a fitted microwave oven, a Mercury range cooker and a recessed area suitable for an American style fridge.

At the rear of the kitchen there is a door through to a well-fitted utility room with plumbing for both a washing machine and dryer. A further door leads through to the attached garage. At the far end of the kitchen there are excellent double French doors leading out to the garden and a handy little breakfast bar or desking station, ideal for a computer.

Back to the main hall, at the rear of the house you find French doors that also lead you out to the garden. There is a downstairs cloakroom and a very good sized study with a range of fitted desking and cupboard units.

The grand staircase leads you up to the first floor and a beautiful landing space. To the front of the house you find the master bedroom which is excellently laid out with both an en suite bathroom and dressing room. The bathroom is particularly attractive with Mandarin stone tiling, a contemporary egg-style bath and separate walk-in shower.

In addition, there are three further double bedrooms, a family bathroom and shower room.

A further second floor attic room provides excellent spill-over accommodation and there is access to further attic storage.

Externally

The gardens have been very thoughtfully planned out. Off the kitchen. To the rear of the house, the low maintenance terraced area is very attractive with a central water feature with lion’s head motif. To one end there is access to the rear of the garage and, at the other, a great space for evening entertaining.

A very attractive side garden with a charming wisteria runs down past the sitting room. This leads to the front garden which has a large, gravelled area, ideal for parking a number of vehicles. The central flower bed planted with roses and lavender provides an excellent focal point.

Adjoining the driveway are two lawned areas, perfect for a trampoline or climbing frames. The views from the house towards Twinhoe are superb.

The plot is enclosed by attractive stone walls with electric gating, providing a high level of privacy.
