House For Sale £875,000
Furley Road, Peckham SE15

Description
Extended Victorian terraced house of 1361 square feet, with five bedrooms over the two upper floors, and both bath and shower rooms. A low-maintenance paved east-facing 'city' garden completes the offering.

Find it on a residential street, equidistant from Peckham Rye and Queens Road Peckham stations (both Fare Zone 2 and on the London Overground line). Walk just 15 minutes for either.

From your hall you have two traditional receptions to your right (the second is currently enjoyed as a sixth bedroom). These are 13 feet by over 11 feet, and over 10 feet by nearly 10 feet. The second reception has an attractive fireplace that’s original to the house. A stud wall divides the two rooms - you could easily open up here to create a through-reception.

At the end of the hall, open a door and to your left is another door to the cellar - which is of the generous variety. Straight ahead and you’ve got your slate-floored double-aspect kitchen/diner, which extends over 18 feet, with French doors at the foot of the room out to the garden.

Up the stairs and from the half-landing you’ve got a small double bedroom onto garden views, and a modern windowed shower room next door (with good storage). From the main landing you’ve got two double bedrooms of nearly 10 feet by nearly 11 feet (this one sports another lovely fireplace), and the master bedroom of over 15 feet by over 11 feet.

Up the stairs again and set to the rear of the house is a modern windowed bathroom with independent w.c.

And finally at the top of the house are two further bedrooms; the front bedroom has two skylight windows and accessible eaves storage. Both rooms take double beds.

Walk just six minutes to Peckham’s iconic, Stirling Prize winning Library (designed by Will Alsop). Next door, Peckham Pulse has good gym and swim facilities, and you can take the canal path from just outside here down to Burgess Park and beyond. There’s a lovely weekly Farmers’ Market in Peckham Square every Sunday 9am to 1pm.

The area around qrp station has its very own scene now - with classy establishments such as Kudu and its cocktail bar, Well & Fed, Peckham Cellars and Blackbird Bakery.

Bellenden Road and Rye Lane are also close for independent shops (plus the high street staples, supermarkets and fruit and veg stalls) and plenty of places to spend your hard-earned dosh and attend events, exhibitions and the like. We particularly like The Bussey Building & Copeland Park, Forza Wine, Peckham Levels, Review Bookstore, Ganapati, Artusi, and Sally Butcher’s Persepolis (Persia in Peckham).

Looking ahead, there’s even more on the horizon for SE15… for example The Peckham Coal Line linear park, and the regeneration of and around Peckham Rye Station.

Camberwell and New Cross aren’t far either for more options. Ual Camberwell campus is close, as is Goldsmiths University.

Local childcare provision includes Nell Gwynn Nursery, and Edmund Waller and John Donne primaries.
