Description This beautifully presented Grade II listed thatched cottage lies nestled in the heart of the pretty hamlet of Trehaddle. The property offers three double bedrooms and a further bedroom on the ground floor, of which the master bedroom enjoys access to the gardens. A family bathroom and separate shower room complete the accommodation upstairs. A well-proportioned sitting room with a wood-burning stove set within a granite surround provides a wonderfully light space to relax; a separate dining room down a small flight of stairs offers a charming entertaining space. A delightful farmhouse kitchen has a door leading to the courtyard garden, as well a further utility room and shower room. Externally there is off-street parking for several cars and mature gardens leading to a decked terrace with views across the valley.

As you enter the property from the courtyard garden through the glazed door, set underneath a thatched porch, you are welcomed into a light and open reception room replete with character features including wooden beams, granite fireplace with wood-burning stove and delightful windows set into recesses that draw in the light. Off the main reception room is the downstairs bedroom which could also make for a fantastic office or games room. A door at the other end of the reception leads into the dining room via a small flight of stairs. The dining room has an intimate feel to it and is ideally set between the sitting room and the kitchen. The original front door to the cottage leads onto to the quiet lane outside.

The shaker style farmhouse kitchen has a range of appliances including a range cooker, separate gas hob and space for an electric oven; there is room aplenty for a breakfast table. At the rear of the kitchen is a utility room with double Belfast sink, fridge-freezer, plumbing for a washing machine and additional storage cupboards. From here a door leads to the downstairs shower room with basin and WC, lit from a skylight in the slated roof. A stable door from the kitchen leads out to the rear patio and gardens, the perfect spot for al fresco dining. A staircase with half-landing leads to the first floor which consists of three double bedrooms, a family bathroom with a bath, basin and WC, alongside a separate shower room also with basin and WC.

The two principal bedrooms enjoy delightful views over the garden; the master bedroom, as well as having fitted wardrobes, also benefits from having its own private entrance directly onto the garden overlooking the patio. The final bedroom sits at the front of the cottage and overlooks the stream below. The enclosed mature gardens are mainly laid to lawn and offer a delightful space to relax with a crazy-paved patio seating area an ideal spot for a summer barbeque. As you ascend the stone steps at the south-eastern corner of the garden you reach a decked terrace with seating area and a hot tub that allows you to enjoy the breath-taking views across the valley and back towards the cottage.

As you would expect from a thatched cottage the property is full of charm and character throughout retaining many of its original features. It has been run as successful holiday let for the past few years, details of which are available on request.
