2 bed Flat For Sale £425,000
Wetherden Street, London E17

Description
A gorgeously presented example of a genuine Walthamstow classic, this two bedroom ground floor Warner apartment has all the hallmarks of this timeless design with your own front door, handsome brick frontage and private section of rear garden. Inside, characterful vintage features abound.

You have a great mix of seclusion and amenities here, sat on a peaceful residential street just around the corner from bustling Lea Bridge Road with its wide range of shops, cafes and other day to day amenities.

If you lived here

You'll be enjoying all the benefits of these sought after properties, the brainchild of Sir Thomas Courtenay Warner at the turn of the century and still some of the most desirable housing around. Thanks to the famously flexible layout, either bedroom (both substantial 100 square foot doubles) can serve as an extra reception room or vice versa.

Painted vintage timber floorboards run underfoot in both bedrooms as well as your rear reception, there's a classic ebony hearths to the front and individually characterful colour palettes from room to room. Your kitchen departs from the vintage aesthetic somewhat with blue vinyl flooring, cream cabinets and a white metro tile splashback, while your bathroom's replete with classic fixtures and fittings.

Outside, Lea Bridge and St James Street overground stations are both around a fifteen minute stroll. The former's your gateway to the vast hub of Stratford, just one stop and six minutes down the line for a huge choice of underground and overground destinations. St James Street will get you directly to Liverpool Street in twenty minutes.

What else?

- Not only are you nicely set back from the road behind your front yard with screening greenery but you have your own section of rear garden, a length of lawn and patio leading on from your private side return.
- For your new local we can't recommend The Hare & Hounds enough, a real gem of a gastropub, sumptuously appointed with a giant lion's head among its designer features, the food and drink is just as inspired as the decor. Just five minutes on foot.
- You have residents' parking, and drivers can be speeding out of London on the M11 in less than twenty minutes.

A word from the owner.....

"I moved from Hackney to 25 Wetherden street and I was looking for a place where I could commute to Hackney easily to visit friends and family but also commute easily to the City/Liverpool Street where I worked (which is only few stops from St James street station). It's a quiet street, very residential. Very close to Hackney Marches and Jubilee Park but at the same time you can easily go for a drink in Clapton or St James street. If you cycle is an amazing spot! Close to canals and parks you can get to the best parts of East London in no time or go for a ride in Epping Forest. "
