Location:
Holywell Bay is a classic, north Cornish beach with a sweep of golden sand and towering dune system, a beautiful beach that has been one of the back drops for the bafta winning TV series Poldark. It is also very well known for its beautiful and breath taking sunsets. The rugged beauty of Holywell Bay makes this a popular destination for locals and holiday makers alike and Wheal Golden Drive is one of its most sought-after residential areas, predominantly consisting of well-maintained detached bungalows within a cul-de-sac setting.

Situation: Number 9 is a beautifully positioned two bedroom detached bungalow. Nestled in the quiet cul-de-sac of Wheal Golden Drive, the plot benefits from a high degree of privacy to the front and rear being slightly set down within the plot and surrounding the property there are sea glimpses at nearly every angle!

Principally there is a useful entrance porch, laid to Karndean flooring, which is separated with a double-glazed oak door into the hallway, a handy area for shoes and coats. The hallway gives access to all the main living accommodation whilst also having a storage cupboard and access to a part boarded loft. The loft can be accessed via a loft ladder and is a fair size.

The kitchen is to the front of the property having been remodelled in the sellers ownership and has countryside views leading through the cul-de-sac. Comprising of light wood effect units with laminate work surfaces over, there is a sink unit, electric hob with extractor over and a double oven all integrated, as well as an integral dishwasher and washing machine. There is further space for a stand-up fridge/freezer. The kitchen also has a further door which leads to the side access of the property.

The living accommodation is also spacious with a 14ft living room, it has a focal electric feature fireplace and leads on to the conservatory. The conservatory, laid to Karndean flooring, is surrounded by beautiful garden views and sea glimpses and is currently utilised as a dining space.

There are two good sized double bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes and are both light and airy. The family bathroom is also a great size, recently refitted to include a separate bath and double shower. There is further built unit space within the bathroom.

The property has UPVC double glazing and a combination of night storage and electric panel heating. There is an immersion tank in the loft which was replaced when the owners moved in. The property is decorated throughout in light, neutral colours, and styles, that is impeccably maintained, the sellers have also replaced all the internal doors within the property with oak effect doors.

The real feature with this property is the stunning gardens that surround them. To the front is a driveway which has space for a minimum of 2 cars and leads to a side access. The rear garden is incredibly private and has been landscaped with a mixture of patio and lawn areas with beautiful shrub and flower borders. The sellers have also added a pergola to the patio, perfect for a seating area to enjoy eating alfresco. There is a shed to the rear of the garden, useful for storage of gardening tools etc.

The property is full of potential with other owners utilising the loft to increase the sea views. This is a rare find and we absolutely recommend viewing to fully appreciate the accommodation and position on offer!

This property is being sold with no onward chain.

Some words from our seller… I leave “Marrick” in my 90th year, heading hundreds of miles east for yet another new adventure. And, although I don’t leave with a heavy heart, exactly (How can I when I will see more of my family) I will miss my beloved home in Cornwall so much.

I will miss walking out onto the patio every morning to the sound of the sea, then at the end of the day basking in the gold and red glow of a molten sunset whilst reading in my conservatory.

I will miss most of all, nurturing my beautiful garden to the backdrop of birdsong in the sky above. Many a time I would stop to straighten my weary old back and listen to the hunting cry of a kestrel or the plaintiff wail of a gull. Then my gaze would stray over the headland to the coastal path. There, in the distance, I would watch the tiny figures heading up the track high above the blue waters of Ligger Bay and I would wonder how far their travels would take them.

What we love: This property is all about the position and the potential. Perfect to live in as it is but oozes further possibilities. This property would suit so many buyers with the versatility of it.
