The property is located in a convenient position in the village of Llangammarch Wells, which has the benefit of a railway station halt stop on the Heart of Wales Shrewsbury to Swansea line, a village shop selling food, newspapers, and most of the necessities of life. There is also a bookshop, and a general Post Office. Only four miles away is ‘Britain’s smallest town’ Llanwrtyd Wells which straddles the A483 between Llandovery and Builth Wells and is located near the pass between the Tywi and Irfon valleys. Llanwrtyd Wells grew as a spa town around the Ffynnon Ddrewllyd, which still exists, following the discovery of waters with healing properties in 1732. The town is the site of both the World Bog Snorkelling Championships and the annual Man versus Horse Marathon, as well as other annual events.
