Dagenham Road, London E10

Description
A breathtakingly bright and palatial, double fronted five bedroom Victorian villa, ideally located on a quiet no through road. Expertly arranged over three floors you have a wealth of elegantly appointed living space, including twin bathrooms, dual reception rooms, large kitchen/diner and dedicated study.

Lovingly refurbished and developed over the years, your recent additions include cafe style plantation shutters, aluminium bi-folding patio doors in the kitchen/diner, Farrow & Ball paint and engineered wood flooring installed throughout the ground floor just a few months ago.

If you lived here

You'll be stretching out in over 1750 square feet of living space, every inch expertly finished to a high standard. Kerbside impressions are immediately impressive, with that striking double frontage and four bay windows, all immaculately finished in white and set nicely back from the road. The vintage tiled pathway and stained glass in the front door all add up to a striking first impression.

Inside, highlights are too numerous to mention but let's start with your twin front receptions, both clocking in at 150 square feet with bright bay windows dressed in plantation shutters. Blonde hardwood runs underfoot and the spaces are finished in pristine white and Hague blue respectively, so you'll have the ideal spot for entertaining or relaxing whatever your mood. Your extra wide hallway invites you on, past a handy spare ground floor WC, flawlessly finished in white with vintage detail tiling underfoot, and an indispensable, spotless utility room perfect for laundry.

Then you have your 230 square feet kitchen/diner. And it's amazing. A bank of twin skylights and bi folding patio doors illuminate the culinary space where a breakfast bar with a creamy marbled countertop and Belfast sink takes centre stage. One wall is composed of contrasting cabinets in royal blue and white, with integrated appliances and chrome fittings. There's also plenty of space for dining. Perfect for feasting with the largest of families.

Step out into the garden for your expansive courtyard. Barely overlooked thanks to your corner vantage point and lack of rear neighbours, this is a wonderfully secluded spot to make your own, a scattering of pots will work wonders and there's even a handy shed. Back inside and upstairs all three bedrooms are vast doubles ranging from 120 to 200 square feet, all smartly finished with the master particularly striking in deep turquoise.

Your family bathroom completes this storey, with mid height dove grey metro tiling and sleek white fittings. Head up the softly carpeted stairs to the artfully realised loft conversion and you have an impressive further amount of living space. Here you'll find two double bedrooms, one skylit and both flawlessly finished, plus your second bathroom, a bright shower room off the main hallway. Finally, you have the perfect dedicated study, more than 100 square foot and brilliantly skylit with plenty of under eaves storage it's the ideal home working space.

A word from the owner...
"We have lived at this house for over 33 years and have some really great memories since moving in. This has been the go-to place for our extended family to gather on any special occasion as well as being a stopping point for friends and family visiting London from the UK and abroad. The multiple bedrooms and living rooms meant we always had the room to accommodate anyone! Over the years we have made vast improvements as it gave us enormous pleasure in developing a home that we could be proud of with lots of kerb appeal and it is one of the very rare double-fronted houses in Leyton with four bay windows to the front. In 2016 we added a loft, in 2018 we installed plantation shutters, in 2020 we changed the front door from UPVC to a stained glass timber one and finally in 2021 we completed the kitchen extension with a central island and a Belfast sink . Sadly, we will be leaving all this behind, though we hope the new custodians will appreciate and take good care of all the things we hold dear. Dagenham Road has a rare sense of community with nice neighbours, people know each other and make the time to stop and chat. If you like going for a walk, Hackney marshes and the wonderful River Lea Nature Reserve provide a haven of nature and recreation."
