1 bed Flat For Sale £375,000
Defoe Road, Stoke Newington, London N16

Description
A renovated one bedroom flat offering stress-free village-living in one of North London’s most treasured neighbourhoods.

Brickworks Says

This fresh, one bedroom flat is simply and effectively laid out and is found in a dream Stoke Newington location. Part of a mid-century block, the current owner has renovated the space to create a modern and stylish home, replacing the kitchen and bathroom and adding some lovely touches such as solid wood floors, slate tiles and wooden worktops.

Mere steps from Church Street and its cafes, restaurants and independent stores, this is the ideal spot for soaking up Stokey’s village vibes (and being first in the queue for a table at your favourite spot for brunch). Much-loved Clissold Park and Abney Park act as back gardens, only a few minutes away by foot. And with Stoke Newington Overground station a short walk away, this is a comfortable base for hopping around North/East London when you need to venture further afield.

The Owners Say

Defoe Road was my first flat purchase and experience living alone, and I absolutely relished the time I spent here. I had lived in Hackney for years with friends, but moved up to Stoke Newington when I bought, as I loved the village-y feel it offered. The flat is so perfectly placed by Church Street.

This was my bolthole and escape from the world, but also had everything I could possibly want on the doorstep; loads of great pubs - The Londesborough for the best roasts and the Clarence literally steps away, great restaurants like The Good Egg at the end of the road, and Wholefoods, where I could spend hours (and lots of money!) buying late suppers or salads to take to Clissold Park in the summer. I did yoga round the corner, and when I wanted to get away, the trusty 73 bus would have me in Islington in 15-20 minutes, for a bit more action. It's still my favourite bit of London and the flat holds nothing but great memories.
