What the owners say We have lived in Camberwell for nearly nine years and love the area everything it has to offer. What first attracted us to the house was that it is very unique and there are no other homes quite the same. We bought the house directly from the developer Berkeley homes, who used the very best top spec fixtures and fittings, in fact they used the same as the larger five-bedroom town houses in the development. We also love that there is no shared access and we have our very own front door, secure underground parking and a secluded private garden with big French patio doors which is just lovely.
We are rather house proud and have maintained the house well over the last 9 years, with a brand new eco boiler fitted last year, the latest top end water cooled air-conditioning also fitted last year, Nest cameras, thermostat and smoke detectors also fitted and the house was recently painted thought-out, so it's ready to move straight into and looks nice and fresh.
We are really sad to be leaving the area, as there some amazing places in Camberwell, great bars like the Hermits Cave, and restaurants nearby like Theos Pizza, The Crooked Well (fab Sunday lunch) and a great falafel take out just around the corner, ideal to stop off at on the way home. I also like the Hill Street Bakery for artisan bread, chesses and much more. It's a great place to grab a freshly baked still warm baguette or loaf on a Saturday morning.
The area has incredibly good transport links with several stations in very close proximity - it's fantastic that we can whizz up to the Southbank in less than 10 minutes on a Thameslink train from Loughborough Junction or Denmark Hill, plus trains to Victoria station are very handy too, not to mention direct access to the London Overground network from Denmark Hill station also.
