Six years ago we moved to Croydon when the brit School offered our daughter a place. Selhurst Road, was the best of the properties we looked at. With a 5-7 minute walk to the brit School, a 2 minute walk to Selhurst Station, a good train service to London, a garden area and a driveway the property was ideal for us. Since then we worked hard to improve the property to make it a fantastic place to work from, to relax and to host visitors. In the process we got to love the property deeply:
A) We love the flat because of its location: The flat is ideally situated for shopping (a number of grocery and other stores are within walking distance), for commuting (London Victoria Station is 26 minute from Selhurst Station and London Bridge is 12 minutes from Norwood Junction which is a 10 minute walk from the flat), for nature walks (Heavers Meadow is just across the road from the flat), watching Premier League Football (Selhurst Park, home to Crystal Palace Football Club, is a 9 minute walk), for cycling (one of my joys was to cycle on Saturdays to Tower Bridge and Parliament Square), for travelling to the South Coast (Brighton is about an hour by car and an hour and 16 minutes by train) and much more.
B) We love the flat because of the community: The community around the property is vibrant with many good schools, churches and community groups to join. We were actively involved in a number of these groups and especially loved the South Norwood Clock Tower Market on Saturdays. Croydon is a unique and pleasant place to live and to work!
C) We love the flat because of its heart: Wherever we travelled to, when we got back to our flat, we realised that we were home. The log cabin under large trees is one of the best places to sleep in Croydon. It feels literally as if you are in the countryside with birds singing and squirrels playing when you wake up. We hosted friends and even larger parties in the barbecue area in front of the log cabin while the latest addition is the sunshine corner at the back of the log cabin where we have sunset drinks in the evenings.
However, just when we finally got the property into a state where we can really enjoy it, our family situation has changed. With our daughter out of the house, my wife's work based in East Sussex and me working from home, we decided to sell the flat and move to East Sussex. This gives an opportunity for new owners to enjoy this gem of a property in the heart of Croydon. You will love it as much as we did. That is a promise!

Selhurst Road (A213) leads from Northcote Road through to South Norwood High Street affording easy access into Selhurst Station and Norwood Junction Station which offer some of the quickest routes into Central London and Gatwick.

Norwood Junction is a vibrant, up and coming area with a growing selection of independent cafes and restaurants, as well as parkland scenery at South Norwood Lake and Grounds.
