Location

Upper Leytonstone is a hidden gem. Hollow Ponds is situated around the corner and great for walking, jogging or rowing on the boating lake. It's a very liberal place with a strong community made up of people from many different backgrounds. There is a yearly Arts Trail that is fantastic. Located within easy reach of various trendy bars, restaurants, shops and a range of amenities, this home is also conveniently positioned for access to major road links such as M11, A406 and A12 towards Essex in one direction and central London in the other. Situated in upper Leytonstone, towards the beginning of this tree lined Queens Road, historically properties along here have been very sought after as Access to Leytonstone tube station is a stones throw away, only 220 yards. For further details and to arrange a viewing contact our friendly letting team at In Estates.

Travel

Leytonstone is in Zone 3 and 4 on the Central Line, about 15 minutes from the City of London and about 25 minutes from Oxford Street and just two stops from Stratford with connections to the Jubilee line, Docklands Light Railway, Eurostar, national railway services from Liverpool Street (to Norwich and Essex stations), and Stratford Crossrail station.

All eastbound Central Line trains stop at Leytonstone. Some terminate at Leytonstone, others take either the Epping branch or Hainault branch. Leytonstone tube is not step-free.

London Overground

Leytonstone High Road station, on the Barking-Gospel Oak branch of London Overground is approx 15 minutes walk from the tube or a short ride on the 257 bus (but if going north you have to get off at the stop before the church then walk 2-3 minutes because of the one-way system). Leytonstone High Road station is not step-free.

Buses

There are bus stations outside each exit of Leytonstone tube. Buses only serve one or the other bus station, depending on their destination.

The N8 night bus serves the High Road (Oxford Circus to Hainault) and the N55 runs along Whipps Cross Road (Oxford Circus to Woodford Wells).

The M11 link road can be joined at the Green Man roundabout at the end of the High Road, giving direct road connections to the Blackwall Tunnel and the M11/M25 and A12.

The Green Man also connects with the A114 (Whipps Cross Road) to Lea Bridge Road at Whipps Cross roundabout and from there to Walthamstow, Hackney and to the Waterworks junction with the North Circular.

Thatched House, at the far souther end of Leytonstone, is the other main junction towards Leyton and Stratford.

With the Central line and M11 link road running through the middle of Leytonstone, the only road crossing points are at Cathall Road and Gainsborough Road linking the town centre and the western side of Leytonstone tube station.

The main roads through Leytonstone can get very congested and local residents would always advise using public transport wherever possible.

Cycling

There are a number of cycle paths or routes through Leytonstone including parts of the High Road and along Whipps Cross Road. There are cycle racks at the tube station and other places.
