Eardisley Park is a handsome and remarkable Queen Anne style Country House totally reconstructed 20 years ago following a disastrous fire. The present house was erected on the existing footprint, using salvaged materials from the site wherever possible including all the exterior brickwork but with modern cavity wall insulation behind. On the raised ground floor, the four principal rooms open into one another, providing a peripheral circular route for entertaining. External doors lead into the garden to the south, east and west (main entrance ) at ground level. The garden was laid out 20 years ago and is now semi-naturalised, with mature trees, an orchard and lawns, water features and flower beds adjoining the house. The extensive outbuildings (over 9000 sq. Ft.), from approximately 1650 to 1850, loosely form a series of courtyards enclosing lawned areas and bounded by brick walls and have enormous development potential.
The works were completed in December 2001; shortly afterwards the house won Restoration of the Year award from the Georgian Society and Restoration of the Century from Country Life magazine.
