The flat is perfectly located for commuting to Central London. South Bermondsey station is 8 minutes walk away and central London (London Bridge) is one-stop and 4 minutes away..
There are plenty of buses to Canada Water and Surrey Quay's leisure center which is 10 minutes away. The flat is a 5-minute walk from Old Kent-road which has a multitude of options from big supermarkets (asda and Tesco) to other utilities (big B&Q, big Currys and loads of nice eateries, etc) and a number of great 24hr groceries which is a lifesaver when you need it.
The best part of the flat itself was the living area, the west-facing balcony which provided great views of the city. Fourth floor flat with double glazed windows and balcony full-length windows and double doors.
One other big advantage we always loved about the location was that after a late night out in central London - access by cab is really good and we were usually home within 10 minutes from London Bridge by car.
There are a number of really good parks where we used to take the kids to which they loved. The neighborhood itself is relatively quiet and fairly settled with lots of free parking on the street. The flat itself is a real gem with lots of concealed storage space/cupboards which seemed to swallow up everything we accumulated over the years, the bedrooms are airy and relatively large compared to a lot of city center flats coming on the market these days.
