"We both fell in love with Hackney Marshes, the secret, magic wilderness in east London. The open sky and space of this area as well as canals and cycle routes to east London. We both worked in art studios in Hackney Wick and Dalston and cycled from Cambrian Road avoiding all the traffic along the canal. We loved it.

It is a lovely short quiet, one-way street with no traffic. We loved that the garden was facing gardens and you had a feeling of space. We fell in love with the house and in 2013 completely refurbished it from top to bottom. Ania works as a photographer for all the interior magazines from Elle Deco to House and Garden and is very aware of finishes, colours, and design.
