In The Owners Words...

This property was completely remodeled 5 years ago by a Shordich based Architect with the idea of making the space as functional and stylish as possible. Firstly, the bedoom was enlarged to provide ample space for a double bed and two side tables, whilst still leaving space for a dresser. Attention to detail is worth noting here, such as usb sockets and dimmer switch fitted above bedside table level, making it possible to dim and switch off lights from bed. The main hallway wall was reinforced to take a full height ornate mirror, so that this space not only has a wow factor for guests entering from the front door, but also becomes useful when getting dressed as its is positiooned between the bedroom and bathroom. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner has been fitted with the highest quality underfloor heating, so there is more space for artwork on the walls. The media wall which hides wires between TV and connecting devices, supports a 50" flat screen TV, and is set to the perfect viewing angle/height for the corner leather sofa, which in turn is sized for the room allowing ample space for stools at the kitchen bar and a comfortable dining area by the back door. In terms of colour scheme, different shades of grey are used throughout. Again, attention to detail is worth noting here, for example the sills, skirtings and architraves are more of a grey/brown shade in order to complement the buildings mahogony brown window and door finishes, in order to unify both colour schemes. The ceiling spot light plan was professionally designed to be aesthetically pleasing; and my latest project (in progress along with current redecoration works) is to fit is a "phillips hue" strip light above the bar to give mood lighting, which for example can be set to change autromatically (e.g. Colour scheme changes with sunset), or create a party atmosphere with different coloured flasing lights, all controlled by alexa (or equivelant). It is also worth mentioning the outdoor space which has been sectioned off (directly outside the backdoor): This can be developed to provide a nice outside space with a fixed two seater table and chair.
