This large Victorian Mill was converted around 2010 by P J Liveseys who have a good reputation for sympathetic modernisation of such structures. During our visit we noted that the communal areas are well maintained and the covered allocated parking is also a feather in the cap for the development. The apartments include an intercom system and communal waste room to the relevant floor. This particular apartment is not a common design within the block and offers good provision for storage space. The lounge and bedroom benefit from unrestricted natural light through their large windows. It is also important to note that there are only a few adjoined neighbours (one above and just one to the side). The master bedroom includes fitted furniture whilst the kitchen was updated during 2019 and includes integral appliances. In addition to the kitchen improvements the bathroom was also updated during 2019 and is now fitted with a walk-in shower. The home would no doubt appeal to first-time buyers, those downsizing from a larger property or buy-to-let investors.
The Area:
Holden Mill is located on Blackburn Road and towards Sharples with an excellent bus service to Bolton and Blackburn right outside, and therefore has access to a good quantity of shops and services along Blackburn Road and also towards Bolton town centre. Alternatively, access north to Belmont, Bromley Cross and Egerton which in their own right include a number of shops and services and easy walking to the West Pennine Moors. The town in general includes good transport links combining motorway and direct train connections to central Manchester and the airport, whilst the surrounding countryside remains a consistently strong feature of the area.
