Sellers Story

Going back to 1970, my husband and I were looking to move from our first semi-suburban home to a place in the country side. We heard about this property from a friend and immediately fell in love with its idyllic location and future potential.

The most favourite room has to be the open living area occupying the majority of the ground floor. My bedroom with its own spacious balcony overlooking the garden pool and open countryside has to be my firm second favourite. The peace and tranquillity away from the humdrum of working in the city has been wonderful to come home to and at weekends.

There are so many memorable events that have been shared here over the years but the biggest and one I am so proud of is the fantastic personal achievement by my husband of extending the property from a bungalow to house.

Raising our family during the 70’s and 80’s on a thriving smallholding where we bred pigs, poultry, a goat and ponies for the boys and myself. The property has Grazing rights over approx 38 acres of the Moor which has been an invaluable asset over the years.

I will miss everything about Corley Moor...my dream home and sanctuary, friendly neighbours, beautiful views and visiting wildlife including a regular Muntjac or two and of course village life. Now a retired widow, the house is becoming more than I can manage on a practical basis and livestock are no longer a viable option for me to keep and look after.
