A charming Grade II listed property situated in the heart of this quintessential English Village. Upon entering the property you enter into the open plan living area, with open fire. In addition, there is a study area to the rear. The first floor provides three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The bathroom is deluxe with twin wash basins and a pretty view of the hills to the rear. The loft is easily accessible, spacious and offers plenty of storage. The well designed and spacious kitchen, with an adjacent dining room is perfect for informal suppers and offers direct access to the south-facing courtyard garden. Exposed wooden beams and stonework really give this home wonderful character and charm.

Outside:
The front of the property benefits from some mature planting of bushes and shrubs with steps leading to the front entrance. To the rear is an enclosed courtyard accessed from the kitchen, which offers space for a potted herb garden and table and chairs. The courtyard garden is easily maintained and a great sun spot with access to the lane which runs at the side of the property.

Wellow is one of Bath's most popular villages due to its picturesque surroundings, with good proximity to the city centre and offering a variety of amenities and friendly atmosphere. The popularity of the village was recognised by the Sunday Times as the No.1 most desirable village to live in 2014. The village shop is run by the community and St Julian's Primary School is very well regarded. Village life also includes the church and village hall, plus the old railway track is now part of national cycle route. For nature lovers this is a blissful spot.

A Note From The Vendor –

We moved to the village 6 years ago, drawn by its charming buildings, stunning surroundings and close proximity to Bath. There is a warm and welcoming village community with a book club, a horticultural society and a boules team that meets weekly.

The neighbouring Fox and Badger pub offers a very warm welcome, a good array of local ales and serves excellent food to boot.

We have enjoyed using the football pitch, the cricket nets and the tennis courts all of which are a couple of minutes walk from the house. We have loved cycling in the country lanes and our walks along the myriad of public foot paths that are available from our front door.

For those looking to commute to Bath and that are keen cyclists, the house also benefits from its proximity to the National Cycle Network (Route 24) that provides a direct cycle route into Bath through stunning countryside and the famous “Two Tunnels” (the UKs longest cycle and walking tunnel). There’s even a pub along the way.
