The postcode areas of S25 and S26 are adjacent to each other to the far east of Sheffield and south of Rotherham. A lot of regular commuters choose to move to the area due to its proximity to the M1 and A57. By car it is easy and quite quick to get into Sheffield city centre and Rotherham. There are also very good public transport links if you live in one of the larger villages such as Anston or Dinnington. This area is incredibly popular with families. As already mentioned it is ideally located should you need to commute for work, yet there is still a rural charm about these villages with friendly locals and beautiful countryside on your doorstep. Compared to other postcodes closer to Sheffield city centre, you get a lot more bang for your buck, and the majority of houses here are semi-detached closely followed by detached houses. There is also a lovely mix of old and new properties, some charming period cottages and farm houses, to modern new builds. There are various attractions in these postcodes, to which people from Sheffield and surrounding areas travel to for a day out away from the city. People in this area are lucky to have them on their doorstep. The Tropical Butterfly House (Wildlife and Falconry Centre) situated in Aston, is a brilliant day out for all the family. With a beautiful butterfly house which also houses tropical birds, reptiles, snakes and other creepy crawlies, there are many other animals to look at around the centre including lemurs, parrots and meerkats. They have various talks and shows on throughout the day with a big focus on conservation. There is also a great play park for kids of all ages including basketball, table tennis, a zip wire and a younger kid's area with ride on vehicles. Kiveton Community Woodland covers 57 Hectares and is a natural space of remarkable diversity, providing a vast array of habitats including woodland, grassland wetland. The bird life on this part of the site is particularly impressive. Informal play includes a new Natural Play Area; fishing ponds; wildlife, cycling, orienteering, walking and viewpoints. If you love the outdoors but prefer to not be completely off the beaten track, then Rother Valley Country Park could be the perfect place to visit. The park is covers 3 square kilometres (740 acres) and has four artificial lakes, recreational activities and nature reserves. The Big Tops in Dinnington, a family fun day out with the kids. Indoor Soft play, Laser Tag, Build My Bear, Disco, Toddler sessions, Free Wi Fi Hot Spot, Fresh Italian coffee and Tasty Healthy Food. There are various places to eat out in S25/S26. Most notable are The Travellers Rest which serves great quality homemade pub food from mainly local produce. The Beehive is another restaurant that serves traditional high quality pub food using local produce. If you fancy something a little more adventurous then Paulo's serves Mexican and Italian food and The Royal Elephant specialises in Thai banquets. The Four Seasons Cantonese offers a sit-down menu or take away. The Venus Restaurant offers traditional British food, but in contrast to the other restaurants in the area, they are much more traditional with old fashioned décor, high beams and silver service.
